VALCELLINA AWARD 2009 . Seventh edition

INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY TEXTILE / FIBER ART COMPETITION

Textile art or fiber art is a particular form of contemporary art which takes form through the use of fibers processed with traditional and contemporary techniques and everything that refers to "textile".
For the purpose of celebrating the always growing participation in the Valcellina Award, and favoring the cultural debate on contemporary fiber art, collateral exhibitions and didactic presentations are planned to be held before and during the seventh edition of the Award.

Le Arti Tessili Association is holding the usual international competition for the purpose of enhancing the knowledge and interest towards textile contemporary art among young people coming from different parts of the world, and encouraging new talents.

This edition requests that the submitted works follow this subject:
LINEA DI CONFINE / BORDER LINE
 
The competition is open to all young people who were born from 1 January 1974 on.

The following prizes will be awarded:

1° 2,000 € net value
2° 1,500 € net value
3° 1,000 € net value

PREMIO VALCELLINA 2009 . Settima edizione

CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE D'ARTE TESSILE CONTEMPORANEA

L'Arte Tessile, o Fiber Art, è una particolare forma di arte contemporanea che si esprime mediante l'uso della fibra elaborata attraverso differenti tecniche tradizionali e contemporanee e con quanto simbolicamente può essere riferito al "fare tessile".
Nella settima edizione, per celebrare la sempre maggiore partecipazione al Concorso Premio Valcellina e al fine di sviluppare un dibattito culturale legato all'arte contemporanea, sono previsti eventi espositivi e didattici che si svolgeranno prima e durante il periodo espositivo delle opere selezionate.

L'Associazione Le Arti Tessili bandisce il consueto Concorso Internazionale per favorire fra i giovani di differenti parti del mondo la conoscenza e l'interesse per l'arte tessile contemporanea e incoraggiare i nuovi talenti.

Questa edizione prevede per le opere in concorso il seguente tema:

II concorso è aperto a tutti i giovani nati dal 1 gennaio 1974.

Sono previsti i seguenti premi (al netto delle ritenute di acconto)

1° Premio: € 2000
2° Premio: € 1500
3° Premio: € 1000
