CREATIVITA’\Y

Friday, 18th April 2008

Teatro Verdi

Via Umberto Primo

Maniago (PN) Italy

The meeting on the occasion of the sixth edition of the International Valcellina Award Competition is scheduled for the purpose of celebrating the first ten years of the Award (1995 - 2005) and the twenty-year anniversary of Le Arti Tessili Association (1987 - 2007).

Its goal is that of offering the various European institutions invited a place to exchange and compare the different methodologies of didactic communication, innovative artistic/textile techniques, possible new strategies concerning the future of textile/fiber art and their influence on young people who intend to enter the world of art and fashion, i.e., start working within this specific field.

Through this initiative Le Arti Tessili Association continues pursuing the target chosen when it was founded: spread the knowledge of specific and different cultural concepts among the young artists, create occasions for debates and exchanges among European teachers and art operators for the purpose of opening up new cultural territories.

The meeting will be held the day before the inauguration of the exhibition of the young artists selected for the Valcellina Award and the award prizing ceremony for the winners.

The meeting is suportet by the Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione
