CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS deadline: 30 November 2011
1. The competition is open to all young people who were born from 1 January 1976 on.
2. Candidates are requested to pay an entry fee of 20.—euros.
3. Official languages: English and Italian.
4. The work submitted must refer to the chosen theme: Mixing Cultures.
5. The work submitted must be recent (dated not earlier than 2010) and never shown before.
6. Works can be bi- or three-dimensional or video.
7. A first selection of the works will be made by a jury of three professionals who will go through the portfolios submitted in due time. They will choose the works that will enter the competition. Their decisions will not be open to dispute.
8. The results of the first selection will be made known by 15 February 2012. The selected artists will be asked to send their work, and informed about the date the work must be sent to Maniago.
9. The works must be provided with a hanging device along with the indication of how they must be hanged or shown.
10. All transportation expenses will have to be borne by the artists.
11. A second jury of 5 textile experts will assign the prizes after inspecting the works submitted in due time. Their decisions will not be open to dispute.
12. The prize-granting ceremony will be held during the inauguration of the exhibition which is scheduled not later than 15 May 2012. The winners will be informed accordingly.
13. Information will be sent to the artists via e-mail with confirmation of receipt.
14. The names of the jury members will be made known in www.premiovalcellina.org, in the press releases, and during the prize-granting ceremony.
15. The Award organizers will be responsible for the mounting of the exhibition, and decide about the space to assign to each work.
16. A catalogue will be published showing both the selected and prized oeuvres.
17. The documentation submitted will not be returned, including that of the discarded works, and will become part of Le Arti Tessili Association’s files.
18. The Association takes no responsibility with regard to any damage or loss of portfolios or works during their forwarding.
19. The works will be returned upon the exhibition completion. The selected artists will be asked to possibly donate their works to be included in the Association’s collection. Their works may be shown in national and international exhibitions.
20. The selected artists agree that their personal data and pictures be published according to Italian L. D. No. 196/2003 in catalogues, the press, or any official initiative which may publicize the Award.

1. II concorso è aperto a tutti i giovani artisti nati dal 1 gennaio 1976.
2. L'iscrizione al concorso prevede il versamento di una quota pari ad € 20,00.
3. Le lingue ufficiali sono inglese e italiano.
4. Le opere in concorso devono attenersi al seguente tema: Mixing Cultures – Intreccio e dialogo tra culture.
5. Si può concorrere con una sola opera recente e inedita eseguita dal gennaio 2010.
6. Ogni opera può svilupparsi in piano, nella terza dimensione o a video.
7. La prima selezione delle opere sarà fatta da una giuria composta da 3 specialisti del settore, che visionando i dossier idonei inviati entro la scadenza, selezionerà a suo insindacabile giudizio le opere da inserire nel concorso.
8. I risultati della prima selezione saranno comunicati entro il 15/02/2012; gli autori riceveranno richiesta dell'opera e conosceranno la data entro cui la stessa dovrà essere recapitata.
9. Le opere selezionate dovranno essere fornite di dispositivi d’aggancio e accompagnate eventualmente da indicazioni che ne facilitino l’esposizione.
10. Tutte le spese di trasporto dell’opera sono a carico del concorrente.
11. I premi in concorso saranno assegnati da una seconda giuria composta da 5 specialisti del settore che visionando le opere giunte entro i termini stabiliti, effettueranno una scelta motivata e insindacabile.
12. La premiazione sarà resa ufficiale durante l'inaugurazione della mostra stessa, prevista entro il 15/05/2012, solo ai premiati verrà comunicata la notizia.
13. Tutte le comunicazioni ufficiali agli autori avverranno via e-mail con conferma di ricevuta.
14. La composizione delle giurie sarà resa ufficiale nel sito www.premiovalcellina.org, nei comunicati stampa e durante la cerimonia di premiazione.
15. Agli organizzatori del Premio spetta definire le scelte relative all’allestimento della mostra e Io spazio da riservare alle singole opere.
16. Sarà pubblicato un catalogo delle opere premiate e selezionate.
17. I dossier inviati dai partecipanti non saranno restituiti; rimarranno, anche se relativi ad opere non selezionate, nell’archivio dell’Associazione Le Arti Tessili.
18. L'associazione declina ogni responsabilità inerenti il danneggiamento o smarrimento dei dossier o delle opere nel corso del trasporto.
19. Le opere saranno restituite al termine dell'esposizione; l’Associazione auspica la loro donazione: le stesse diverranno parte della collezione di Fiber Art dell’Associazione e potranno essere esposte ad eventi nazionali ed internazionali.
20. I partecipanti acconsentono all'utilizzo dei propri dati personali e delle immagini dell'opera inviate ai sensi del D. L. No. 196/2003 per l'eventuale loro pubblicazione su catalogo, stampa e per ogni altra iniziativa ufficiale utile a pubblicizzare il concorso.
Per partecipare al Concorso si dovrà inviare entro il 30.11.2011 un CD contenente
