Official languages: English and Italian

1. The work submitted must be recent (dated not earlier than 2006) and never shown before.

2. Works can be bi- or three-dimensional from a minimum of 30 cms. to a maximum of 150 cms., in the three dimensions.

3. By 30 November 2007 the following documentation must be mailed to the Association:


a. application form to participate in the competition, along with the receipt
testifying subscription to Le Arti Tessili Association.

b. brief typed curriculum (max 20 lines).

c. photocopy of idendity card.

d. The candidate is requested to submit a CD containing the image of his/her work in jpg or eps. Image dimensions: width not less than 15 cms and 300 dpi resolution, masterization standard for Mac and PC.

e. a black-and-white or color 13 by 18 cm. photo of the work.

f. a typed text, in Italian or English, indicating the title of the work, dimensions, materials, a brief description of the technique employed, and possible motivations.

not later than the established date. The postal stamp will be considered proof.

A jury of textile experts will select the works. Their decisions are not open to dispute.
The names of the jury members will be made known during the prize-granting ceremony.
The results of the selection will be announced by 15 February 2008.
The selected artists will be contacted and asked to send their works at a given date.
The winners will be informed by registered mail. The prize-granting ceremony will be held during the inauguration of the exhibition which is scheduled not later than 15 May 2008.
The works must be provided with a hanging device, along with the indication of how they must be hanged or shown.
The Award organizers will be responsible for the mounting of the exhibition, and decide about the space to assign to each work.
A catalogue will be published.

The photographic documentation submitted will not be returned, including that of the discarded works, and will become part of Le Arti Tessili Association’s files.
The winners will be asked to donate their works to be included in the Association’s collection.
The selected works will be sent back to the artists after the exhibition.
Transportation expenses will be borne by the artists.
